It worked pretty well against Germany and Japan — destroying the electricity, water, sewer, roads, bridges, communications, food supplies, hospitals, all other buildings, and a large part of the population certainly appeared to take the fight out of those remaining. But in Afghanistan? Not a chance in the world. And all of this leaves out the moral dimension entirely. If it won’t work, why even think about the moral implications of using it?<br /><br />This kind of talk is easy. It doesn’t require any thinking.
