"The nation that will insist upon drawing a broad line of demarcation between the fighting man and the thinking man is liable to find its fighting done by fools and its thinking by cowards."

Grand Prairie, Texas
My time in Grand Prairie, Texas thus far reminds me of a quote--unsourced--generally attributed to General Philip Sheridan.
"If I owned both Hell and Texas, I'd live in Hell and rent out Texas"
If you can't have fun in Grand Prairie/Dallas, then you don't know what fun is dude. I do admit that they can't drive well there but most american cities have that problem.
Dude, let me know if you need a briefing on the hotspots in the DFW metroplex. Texas gals do love their men in uniform. Can't wait to put on my next year :D
TX in Nov. is not as bad as TX in summer, in fact not a bad place to winter. Avoid summer. But, you've been in Iraq. TX is small potatoes in comparison.
There are much worse places in Texas. But the Metro Plex is not the best. Plainview, And over to the north of Houston up in the Big Thicket Country. I do like Amarillo, Pampa and that part of the panhandle.
That's b/c this war criminal could never have lived in Texas! They'd have hung him from the nearest tree.
ReplyDeleteAs far as its sourcing, ?
ReplyDeleteBut it reminded me of the great quote from the Pilot episode of Arrested Development: "I'd rather be dead in California than alive in Arizona."
Anyways, great find.
