Useful trivia...

Today, I was forced to take one of those ubiquitous vision tests. I sat down in a chair, as a health care provider pointed to a wall located over my shoulder, behind me.

"Now, if you would, please read off the letters just above the red line on the chart behind you".

I didn't even bother to look behind me. "D-E-F-P-O-T-E-C", I said with a smile.

"Wait, how did you..."

"It's the same on every eye chart. Should we move on to hearing?"
