Human Rights Watch is hosting a film festival which begins today and lasts until the 24th of June. The festival will showcase some amazing films on Afghanistan, including RESTREPO, a documentary chronicling the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team in the treacherous Korrengal Valley (showtimes on 18, 20, and 21 June). The festival will also feature "Camp Victory, Afghanistan", which documents the building of a new Afghan Army (shows on 12, 13, and 17 June). HRW's festival also includes films on human rights in Iran, Cambodia, and India.

I confess, I watched that trailer and was amazed. It was shocking and at times, seemed too real to be real. Makes me glad I am here and not there. I'm going to try to get to see the movie when it comes around my neck of the woods, if it does.
