Small Wars Journal: Where more people learn about doctrine than probably should...

For those of you who like to keep on top of the US Army's operational planning doctrine, here's the new FM 5-0: Operations, released about three weeks ago (requires AKO login). Bonus: it incorporates Design.

Sad thing is, I don't know anyone else who realized there was a new operations manual. I wouldn't have known either, if it weren't for the posters in the Small Wars Council talking about it for the past year.

I mean, there's a reason Admiral JC Harvey spoke so highly of SWJ during the recent Milblog Conference...
